Cork, P47 V821 are currently recruiting for a Production Manager. 39 hours per week Sal :34000.00 Euro Annually Job Description As Production Supervisor you must lead by example and in turn must set the standard for the team to follow. The Production Supervisor must strive for production excellence, producing the finest products to the highest food safety and health and safety standards Train and develop the teams building an excellent relationship with all team members Organise teams, ensuring the daily production plan is communicated and rolled out ensuring the product specification and correct materials for each product are available and ready to use and checked before using .Ensure all pre-start checks are completed and recorded ,managing any issues before starting production. Ensure the machinery/equipment is not locked out by maintenance and is in good working condition to start producing. Ensure the line output is efficient and stoppages and downtime are minimized. Clear communication Ensure you communicate to all members of your team linking in frequently with your team leaders on people issues, production and line issues, training, toolbox talks, food safety issues and health and safety issues. Record Management Manage all records and check sheets ensuring all are completed accurately and filled in so all the information is legible and traceability accurate, and any deviations reported promptly to FSQA. Ensure that during production if there is an equipment or processing fault, or food safety or quality non-conformance, that it is managed immediately, escalated to production management, FSQA and maintenance as appropriate, and full documentation and communication of issues occurs to prevent re-occurrence and troubleshoot for future. Communication at meetings with the maintenance supervisor and QA supervisor is essential to prevent reoccurrences and downtime. Changeovers need to be managed in a smooth and time efficient manner adhering to all production clean down policies, food safety policies and health and safety policies, working with maintenance and following the machine operation SOP in a team effort. Excellent communication and organisation is needed for this to occur efficiently. Stock management is an important function and meeting orders at all times is essential. Ensure stock is used in rotation i.e. First in, First Out, and manage and report any shortages to prevent waiting time and aim at problem solving to prevent reoccurrence. Relationship management build excellent working relationships and rapports with all depts. Continuous Improvement Look for improvements daily, problem solving with a long-term view of increased efficiencies and lean manufacturing.
