Job Overview
In this role, you will have overall ownership of customer service, shop floor production planning, material supply and control, and warehouse management. You will be fully responsible for delivering upon SQDC targets, eliminating losses in the area through excellence, and growing the team's capability. This role is responsible for setting goals, making decisions, and driving accountability toward department objectives at the site. Ensures compliance with quality systems, policies, procedures, standard methodologies, and all local and corporate safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Main Responsibilities
1. Manage the full supply chain from customer service and order management and associated material supply through to shipment of finished goods to the required distribution centre.
2. Responsible for the production planning process at sub-assembly through the end item product stage across the entire product range aligned to customer demand, ensuring customer needs are met on time and in full.
3. Lead by example as part of the senior leadership team on site, demonstrating integrity, accountability, and a positive attitude in all interactions.
4. Using the tiered management process, drive essential metrics such as backorder, MAPV, and other required metrics. Work with the planning team to create corrective action to drive success.
5. Responsible for the production kitting function ensuring that all production work orders are kitted and delivered to the line when required in conjunction with the production plan.
6. Lead the capacity planning function to ensure that capacity is not over-utilized or under-utilized to meet the production plan.
7. Track and report performance measures and indicators that provide management with a summary of planning accuracy (i.e. daily back order report, MAPV).
8. Complete and analyse all monthly, weekly, and daily reports and resolve corrective actions as necessary.
9. Analyze forecasts and orders to project capacity requirements for budget and support of labour planning.
10. Create and maintain planning procedures for the planning function and work with Doc Control to ensure any changes are updated accordingly.
11. Apply and manage corporate processes and procedures to ensure ISO, internal, corporate, notified body, and FDA audit requirements are met in the planning, customer service, and warehouse departments.
12. Work closely with suppliers and customers (externally and inter-company) to manage demand and prevent backorder.
13. Work with R&D and manufacturing engineering groups to plan builds required for verification or validation activities.
Qualifications
1. Ideally a Degree in Science, Industrial management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
2. At least 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment is required, including people management.
3. Experience in a highly regulated industry ideally.
4. Planning and Procurement background.
