This role will provide exposure to a wide range of highly complex projects. The successful candidate will be supported in developing their knowledge and skills as their responsibilities grow and evolve.
Desirable Criteria:
* Chartered SCSI / RICS Quantity Surveyor.
* Experience in pharmaceutical or data centre projects is advantageous, demonstrating your understanding of industry best practices and technologies.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
Skills Required:
1. Strong Commercial Awareness: Ability to manage costs effectively and maximize value for the company.
2. Contracts & Procurement Knowledge: Proficient in various contract forms (e.g., RIAI, GCCC, NEC, FIDIC, JCT) and procurement strategies.
3. Project Management & Leadership: Capable of leading and managing teams, with the ambition to develop and lead the Quantity Surveying department.
4. Cost Estimation, BOQs & Value Engineering: Experience in estimating, cost planning, preparing bills of quantities and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
5. Negotiation & Client Management: Skilled in negotiations with clients, contractors, and suppliers to secure the best outcomes.
6. Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong ability to analyze project risks, solve problems, and provide strategic solutions.
7. Technical Knowledge of CSA Disciplines: Understanding of Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) aspects of projects.
8. Excellent Communication & Reporting: Ability to present clear cost reports, financial updates, and commercial strategies.

The Package:
Competitive Salary depending on experience, Pension, Funded Further Education, Hybrid work option [Blackrock, Dublin, base Office], Sabbatical clause within the Employment contract allows for flexibility relating to time off for travel etc. Further negotiable for exceptional candidates. The role has the potential to grow into a full Director position.
