Security Engineer - Experienced Hire
Susquehanna International Group Dublin, Ireland
Overview
At Susquehanna, we regard information security as crucial to the success of our technology organisation and the firm as a whole. Our Security team plays a vital role in safeguarding our information assets and technology. Rather than focusing on check-box compliance, our team prioritises making sound, risk-based decisions. We are currently seeking a Security Engineer to join this team.
Our team collaborates with business and technical stakeholders across the entire stack. As a member of our global Security Team, you will provide operational, engineering, and consultation support in areas such as security monitoring, vulnerability management, and perimeter/endpoint controls.
In this role, you will gain exposure to a large and complex network topology, learning how security technologies and practices can be applied to defend against today's threats. You will administer, support, and implement technologies that manage and control access, identify vulnerabilities, and more.
This position offers broad exposure to a variety of information security technologies, including Firewalls, Authentication Encryption Technologies, VPNs, IDS/IPS, Antivirus, and Remote Access.
Essential fundamentals you will gain by joining Susquehanna Dublin's Information Security Team:
You will get to work on a variety of security challenges and technologies across all aspects of our technology footprint. Even in projects where we are not directly involved in engineering solutions, the Security team is expected to ensure that our security and risk standards are adhered to.
Our Engineers are given the freedom, flexibility, and resources to solve problems creatively and develop the most appropriate solution - this may range from buying/implementing vendor tools, rolling up your sleeves and developing custom solutions from the ground up, adapting open-source solutions to meet Susquehanna's needs, or implementing process and policy controls when technology solutions are not available.
You don't have to choose between researching, architecting, and implementing solutions. You will have the opportunity to work on problems requiring big-picture thinking, but will remain hands-on with technology as you manage and execute large technical projects to drive growth with Susquehanna's security infrastructure.
You will be part of a truly global security programme. The security team here in Dublin is one part of the firm's global security team, so you will have the opportunity to travel and work with your colleagues in other offices to build and maintain solid relationships.
Continuous growth and opportunity. At Susquehanna, our technology teams are fast-moving and ever-evolving, meaning that new challenges are always around the corner. We have an open learning environment and infrastructure, where teams and skillsets are always growing to keep pace with those challenges.
