Orange Recruitment are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking to join a forward-thinking energy management company.
They are seeking a skilled professional to play a key role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems across industrial and commercial sites.

Responsibilities Carry out inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical systems while ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Oversee and perform alignment, balancing, and leveling of pumps, fans, and other rotating equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
Conduct welding and fabrication tasks, including the repair and installation of piping and steel structures.
Implement preventative maintenance programs to maximize the reliability and lifespan of mechanical and electrical equipment.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults, keeping detailed maintenance records for reporting to the Maintenance Manager.
Assist in training team members, sharing expertise in electrical and mechanical systems to enhance overall team capability.
Take an active role in plant shutdown operations, including dismantling, inspecting, and reassembling critical equipment.
Be available for on-call duties and overtime when required to support plant operations.
Provide support to warehouse and operations teams when needed, ensuring seamless workflow.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all company safety protocols and procedures.
Engage in on-site safety and quality initiatives, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Work towards achieving Lead Mechanic qualifications, expanding your expertise and career opportunities.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager to support operational efficiency.
Experience Relevant qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Engineering.
Strong experience in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repair.
Proficiency in welding, pipework installation, and fabrication.
Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is an advantage.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
Flexibility for on-call shifts and overtime when required.
