About the opportunity:
Our Risk Consulting Department are looking for a Full-Time Assistant Manager to join our team. This role will be based in the Cork Office and will report directly to the Risk Consulting Director. This full-time role will be 37.5 hours per week.
As an Assistant Manager, you can expect your duties to include:
* Responsibility of liaising between your own team members within Risk Consulting in addition to Clients, Partners and Management.
* Responsibility for scheduling and timetabling risk consulting work and ensuring agreed deadlines are met.
* Supervising, training and reviewing the work undertaken by junior team members.
* Responsibility to build and develop a team around you over time once the candidate is fully functioning in their own role.
* Review processes, systems and controls to identify any weaknesses.
* Keep up to date with best practice and current developments as they relate to our clients.
* Prepare high standard reports detailing the recommended improvements and/or changes for Director and Partner review.
What we are looking for:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
* Ideally holds a suitable professional qualification with post qualification experience (ACA, ACCA, CPA or IIA).
* Strong internal control, risk management and internal audit experience.
* Strong attention to detail and quality focused.
* Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise workload, multitask and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Valid Irish work permit and full Irish driving licence preferable.
