About the Role
The team provides expert advice throughout the construction cycle, from procurement strategy and contract structures to dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities
* Advising clients on construction activities, including drafting and negotiation of contracts, risk management, and dispute resolution.
* Procurement strategy, EU procurement issues, and contract structures.
* Drafting and negotiating construction contracts, professional appointments, bonds, guarantees, collateral warranties, and associated documentation.
* Risk analysis and management, project insurance, and project administration.
* Construction dispute management, including litigation, arbitration, conciliation, mediation, and adjudication.
Requirements
* A minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience (pqe) in a construction practice.
* Strong analytical ability, interpersonal skills, and communication skills.
* Ability to exercise sound judgement and decision making in pressurised situations.
* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills to manage a busy workload and meet client needs.
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* A strong interest in maintaining, developing, and sharing relevant legal knowledge.
Education
* An excellent academic background.
* A 2.1 honours degree or higher in any discipline.
* Qualification as a solicitor or barrister in Ireland or England and Wales.
