Role Profile:
One of our longest serving clients is expanding its Cork manufacturing facility and is looking to double their production of critical imaging agents used to diagnose three patients every second. We're seeking a seasoned CSA Support Engineer to play a key role in this multi-million euro expansion. Reporting to the Project Engineer, you'll be the support engineer for enabling works, managing contractors and design consultants to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Manage enabling works contractors and design consultants.
* Review and approve design documentation.
* Communicate project status to stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and quality standards.
* Coordinate smooth transitions from design to construction to handover.
* Identify and mitigate safety hazards.
* Liaise with the site EHS team.
Experience you'll need:
* Engineering qualification + 5+ years' experience supporting Capital Projects in a live operational Pharmaceutical/Medical Device environment.
* Registration with a professional body (e.g., IEI).
* Experience developing and implementing Capital Project Engineering projects.
* Experience as a Change Manager.
* Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project.
* Strong communication and decision-making skills.
* Project and construction management experience.
* Knowledge of construction materials and methodologies for Pharmaceutical/Medical Device projects.
* Familiarity with Factory Mutual.
* Deep understanding of design and construction (groundworks to commissioning).
* Knowledge of QHSE requirements, CDM regulations, and planning/building control processes.
What's on offer:
The client is willing to offer an initial 12-month contract, with a view to keeping the individual on for the remainder of the project as it progresses past this point. This role is fully on-site 5 days per week near Cork, Ireland. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
