Applications are invited for the permanent position of Principal Clinical Engineering Technician in the Medical Physics & Clinical Engineering Department of St. Vincents University Hospital.
The post holder will assist in managing the equipment base and the provision of clinical engineering services in St Vincent's University hospital.
The Principal Clinical Engineering Technician, in conjunction with the clinical engineering team will develop clinical engineering services in line with best national and international practices and guidelines.
They will have a central role in advising management on risk assessment, health and safety, and cost effectiveness in relation to medical device equipment.
The post holder will be working in conjunction with the Chief Clinical Engineering Technician to develop the clinical engineering service from a risk and quality perspective, ensuring that medical technology is used safely and effectively across the hospital and that there is sufficient, appropriate technology in a safe working order.
