Senior Business Analyst
Dunnes Stores is Ireland’s leading retailer positioned at the cutting edge of food and fashion retailing. We are Irish owned and operate over 130 stores across Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Spain, as well as a growing online store. We are currently looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Business Analyst.
Reporting to the IT PMO, you will be working with the Dunnes Stores Business Functions, IT team, Business Project Managers and Third Parties on a Textile Supply Chain initiative to document and support a transformation of all current end-to-end processes, operating model and systems.
Responsibilities
1. Act as a key intermediary between all relevant Business functions, IT and relevant Third Party providers.
2. Gather, analyse, validate and document functional and non-functional requirements.
3. Work closely with internal and external teams and stakeholders to map out extremely detailed end-to-end processes, user journeys and use cases.
4. Design and document new business procedures, including definition of owners, roles and responsibilities
5. Produce and maintain functional specification documentation throughout lifecycle of project, ensuring sign off by relevant stakeholders.
6. Develop and baseline the data flow diagrams and interface specifications with the technical teams.
7. Elicit acceptance criteria from stakeholders to feed into test cycles.
8. Review system solution documents in the context of the business requirements.
9. Manage requirements traceability information and track requirements status throughout the project
10. Liaise with developers and test teams, ensuring clear translation of requirements
11. Assist tracking and specification of requirements for approved changes to scope through the use of clear change control processes
12. Provide support to project teams during Development, System Test and UAT phases.
13. Assist Project Managers and project team in high-quality delivery of scope according to the agreed schedule and milestones.
14. Facilitate the Service Introduction process and identify any operational process improvement opportunities across project areas.
15. Communicate regular progress updates to Project Managers and feed into the Steering Group.
Experience/Skills
16. Educated to Minimum Degree Level
17. 5+ years as a Business Analyst, with experience delivering large IT integration projects
18. Textiles supply chain and retail systems experience an advantage
19. Experience in assisting successful delivery of projects with high impact Business process change on time and on budget
20. Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
21. Ability to effectively lead workshops
22. Team player and strong Interpersonal skills
23. Excellent communication skills
