***Base salary of €43,800 with OTE of €50,000 - €60,000 gross per annum***

Role Introduction:
The AA is embarking on an exciting growth and transformation phase and is seeking to recruit a Field Technician - Motor to support the Roadside & Rescue team in providing best in class customer service to our clients.
This role will form part of the dynamic Roadside & Rescue team and will report to the Operations Manager.
As an AA Patrol you will contribute to the effective operation of the AA’s Member Services by attending the scene of an AA member’s breakdown. You will undertake breakdown services and recovery as necessary at both member’s homes and on the road in accordance with established conditions and operating instructions.
Shift working is a requirement including weekends and bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake to a high standard effective and safe diagnosis and repair on members’ vehicles, both private and commercial, at the scene of a breakdown either as deployed by the Rescue Centre.
* Ensure the optimum use of time and costs when undertaking diagnostic work by assessing the AA’s liability in respect of possible garage and/or recovery assistance as appropriate and arrange as necessary in conjunction with the Rescue Centre.
* Recover members’ vehicles from the roadside when repair is impracticable and arrange any necessary garage assistance for members as required.
* Maintain a high standard of driving, courtesy and effectiveness in dealing with members of the general public and uphold the traditions and image of the AA with an appropriate awareness of personal and members’ safety at all times.
* Be fully conversant with all communication systems used within the Patrol Force Operations and ensure that all communication is maintained to the standards required by the AA.
* Maintain to a high standard of serviceability in cleanliness any AA vehicle, tools and equipment used for individual use.
The Candidate should have the following:
Minimum qualifications, experience & skills
* Qualified motor Mechanic.
* Valid B licence.
* Motor Mechanics apprenticeship, a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft cert.
* Time served as a motor mechanic.
* Sound practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical workings of motor vehicles and an ability to affect repairs.
* Must have current driving licence and ability to make clear written statements.
* BE & BC driving licence is a plus.
