SMT Fund Services (Ireland) Limited provides fund administration services to a wide variety of investment products covering all alternative and regulated products. Our service covers all the constituent parts required to independently produce a fund’s dealing or indicative net asset value (NAV) on a monthly, weekly or daily basis.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and evaluating IT projects across our organization. In order to do this successfully, this person should feel comfortable handling multiple tasks at a time.
Core Responsibilities
1. Produce scope documentation for projects and manage to it throughout project lifecycle
2. Lead requirements gathering sessions to complete business requirements and technical design documentation
3. Manage the 3rd Party Solution selection process making sure product selection is completed in satisfactory timeframe, within budget, and fits the business requirements laid out under project scope
4. Manage 3rd party solution providers to ensure deliverables are received on time and to specification and budget
5. Establish communication plans and deliver project status by publishing high quality project reports and presentations
6. Manage risks and issues effectively by resolving or escalating to the appropriate individuals
7. Manage multiple key projects at a time, with accountability to prioritise work and ensure all project timelines are met
8. Maintain project documentation according to team methodology (risk and issue log, project plan, change control, status reports, etc)
9. Manage and oversee the testing phases of projects
10. Technical reviews of proposed solutions from the Head of Technology
11. Liaise with external vendors and partners to effect solutions for the company
12. Other activities as requested which require similar Project Management/ Business Analyst type skills – for example but not limited to requirements gathering, documentation and interpretation.
Minimum Qualifications
1. 5+ years’ project management experience with a proven track record in a technically challenging environment
2. Very strong IT infrastructure background
3. Strong networking skills and experience in network topology design
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
5. Experience designing, managing and implementing process change
6. Experience in implementing 3rd party solutions in addition to managing internally designed and developed applications
7. Proven ability to achieve results in a complex, often ambiguous environment
8. IT Project Implementations
9. PMBOK or PRINCE2
10. ITIL
11. Organizational skills
12. Ongoing technical related courses
13. Industry related IT training
14. Several years’ experience of project management, with experience of methodologies e.g. PMBOK or PRINCE2
15. Demonstrable experience in eliciting and preparing business requirements
16. Ability to explain technical concepts to all audiences within all levels of an organization
