Our client is expanding the engineering team to complement the existing broad range of engineering competencies. The successful applicant will be a key member of a newly established and expanding R&D team, leading, guiding, and mentoring colleagues in developing and supporting next-generation medical equipment.The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in designing and developing electrical and electronic solutions within complex instruments. The role involves integrating sensors, power devices, transducers, motion control (motors, encoders), thermoelectric devices, and microcontrollers into a real-time system. Experience in firmware development and PCB design would be advantageous. You must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and systematically with other engineering functions to deliver high-end innovative product solutions at pace.Key Responsibilities:* Proven experience in designing and developing high-quality electrical/electronic solutions.
* Develop and maintain complex electrical and electronic systems.
* Design and develop analog and digital circuits from transducer to microcontroller input, considering cabling, connectors, signal strength, and noise/interference.
* Develop firmware and software for embedded systems using C/C++ programming languages.
* Design and develop printed circuit boards (PCBs) using Mentor Graphics, Eagle, Altium, Proteus, or OrCAD tools.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-end innovative product solutions.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to electrical and electronic systems.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and standards.Requirements:* Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Software, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
* At least 5 years' relevant engineering experience in a high-performing R&D team.
* Strong knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, and software.
* Experience with power electronics, cabling routing, and integration.
* Good understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and methods to eliminate electronic interference.
* Familiarity with Low Voltage & Machinery Directives and other relevant standards.
