Our client is seeking a Country Manager. This role reports to the CEO and is part of the Senior Management Team.
Responsibilities:
* Set out the strategic vision and plan for the gardencare business on the IOI in line with company objectives and ambition.
* Own the responsibility of business development, profitability, and growth.
* Lead and coach the Area Managers with clarity, direction, and momentum to achieve the strategic objectives of the business.
* Set out annual budgets on revenues and gross margin with delivery on same.
* Be a capable and conscientious self-starter who is task and results-oriented with sound business awareness and an ability to assess what is important to the business and will deliver results.
* Identify new customer and sales channel opportunities.
* Maintain a credible business presence with excellent negotiation skills for meeting and working through trading issues.
* Develop strong commercial relationships with all customers.
* Work closely with the Marketing Manager to execute the annual gardencare marketing plans.
* Collaborate with the Technical Director and wider team to identify new product opportunities that meet consumer needs and category growth objectives.
* Be a key member of the innovation team.
* Utilize an analytical and fact-based approach to business building.
* Demonstrate excellent presentation skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word). Numeric skills for data analysis are essential.
* Be organized and a good administrator to balance the different aspects of the role.
* Exhibit drive and ambition with the desire and ability to make a significant contribution.
* Show balanced judgment, factuality, and the capacity to act decisively and confidently to make the right decisions.
* Be responsible, clear, respectful, and a good listener and communicator.

Experience:
* 5 years of senior commercial experience, preferably in the horticultural, garden center, or FMCG sector.
* Demonstrable achievements in career to date.
* Evidence of building a business in a changing and challenging environment.
