Manufacturing Team Lead - County Clare.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Staffing and Production Management:
• Collaborate with area supervisors and other team leads to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to meet customer demand and production schedules.
• Ensure continuous supply of components to the production line by communicating with stores.
• Meet all production targets as outlined by KPIs and populate target boards to monitor daily progress.
• Address and resolve issues affecting production, including quality, performance, processes, equipment, materials, and labor.
Team Leadership and Development:
• Direct team members to foster a multifunctional team environment with flexibility to cover all roles.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving equipment and hardware issues.
• Conduct regular team meetings to align on targets, address assembly line issues, and promote a solution-focused work area.
• Drive a positive, can-do attitude within the team, emphasising teamwork and high standards.
Quality Assurance:
• Communicate quality requirements and standards to the team, ensuring adherence to documented policies and procedures.
• Complete required documentation related to business or regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
• Support and identify continuous improvement efforts with the Production Supervisor and Management teams.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions and ensure an FOD-free environment.
• Update production metrics and facilitate regular team communication to drive improvements.
Qualifications and experience sought:
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with prior leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to address issues proactively and effectively.
• Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and documentation standards in a manufacturing setting.
