Barden is pleased to partner exclusively with our client to support the appointment of an experienced Head of Purchase to Pay/AP Manager for their Shared Services Function.
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic individual for the role of 'Head of Purchase to Pay / AP Manager – Finance Shared Services.' This key leadership position will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end Purchase to Pay (P2P) process, and heavily involved in change management across that function. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing accounts payable functions, leading automation initiatives, and implementing optimization strategies. Strong leadership and communication skills, along with a passion for continuous improvement, are essential.
The Head of PTP is responsible for managing the entire Purchase to Pay function and driving operational excellence in the finance shared services team while championing continuous improvement within the organization. The successful individual will need effective communication skills with strong leadership experience in Accounts Payable.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Oversee end-to-end PTP function, leading a team of c. 5 senior people.
* Ensure accurate processing of invoices, payments, and support cash forecasting/reporting.
* Meet cash management goals while aiding finance/operations teams.
* Oversee creation, maintenance, and reporting of Accounts Payable metrics, providing regular updates to senior management with analysis.
* Lead process improvements, including implementing AI to enhance Purchase to Pay efficiencies.
* Manage audit requests, including process documentation, reporting, and sample data for internal and external audits.
* Ensure controls are in place to safeguard assets, maintain accurate supplier accounts, manage supplier risks, and provide excellent customer service.
* Support initiatives to improve business value and customer experience, mentor team members, and promote continuous improvement.
ABOUT THE PERSON
* BA in Finance, or Accounting.
* Experience leading teams in fast moving PTP environments.
* Previous experience in large scale multi-national businesses.
* Interest and experience in project-based responsibilities including implementation of new processes and systems.
* Highly proficient in ERP systems.
