Jigsaw currently has 240 staff based in 15 locations around the country and employs a range of clinical and other professionals throughout the organisation.You will report directly to the CEO and be a key member of the Senior Management Team. You will lead a small, dedicated HR team and will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of HR and for the delivery of HR services in the organisation. You will ensure that Jigsaw attracts, develops, and retains top talent, aligning human resources strategies with the organisation’s business goals. You will be responsible for oversight and delivery of all aspects of HR processes, strategic HR leadership, organisational development, pay and conditions, employee relations, HR analytics, compliance and risk management.You will play a key role in shaping and maintaining our culture, leading employee engagement, talent management, organisational development, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and fostering an environment of growth and collaboration. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will contribute to leadership and operational oversight in Jigsaw. You will work collaboratively with senior colleagues to oversee the growth and future sustainability of Jigsaw and promote integrated working across the organisation.As a proactive self-starter, you will be a creative and persuasive communicator with a strong focus on developing sustainable relationships with a wide range of internal and external audiences. You will be a compassionate leader in line with our vision for Jigsaw to bring about an Ireland where every young person’s mental health is valued and supported.This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and experienced candidate to make an impact on a local and national level and to promote our mission, develop and communicate the strong governance position of Jigsaw as a trusted Charity at the heart of the debate on Ireland’s youth mental health.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Leadership and day-to-day management of the HR department, team and operational activities including the effective and efficient deployment of human resources.Developing organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organisational strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organisational objectives.Implementing human resources strategies including talent acquisition, training and development, records management, succession planning, employee relations and retention and industrial relations.Devising and implementing a Compensation and Benefits strategy for the organisation reflecting developments in the sector and particularly in Section 39 funded agencies.Working with the Director of Services and Clinical Director in identifying workforce planning strategies within our large online and community-based services, including succession planning.Cultivating a positive, engaged, and values-driven organisational culture, fostering an environment where all staff feel supported, valued, and empowered to provide the highest level of performance and contribution to the organisation in serving young people.Implementing and maintaining quality assurance protocols and standards in relation to HR.Leading the development and implementation of Jigsaw’s HR Strategy as a key enabler of the organisations strategic plan.Building and maintaining trusted relationships with key external partners, and stakeholders including the HSE, legal advisors, trades unions and within the sector to support the organisations goals.Supporting the effective management of change across Jigsaw including positive and effective internal communications and employee engagement strategies.Developing Human Resource systems and practices and the provision of a range of personnel services and advice for members of the Board, management departments and employees in Jigsaw.Undertaking any other duties as determined by Jigsaw.You will also:With the Senior Management Team and the Board conduct strategic and operational planning for the delivery of Jigsaw’s mission.Report to and support Jigsaw’s HR & Governance Subcommittee and its ChairEstablish and promote policies and practices that espouse Jigsaw’s culture and vision.Actively contribute to the overall management and development of the organisation.Encourage, support and actively facilitate teamwork across Jigsaw’s Strategic Plan – TogetherMaintain contact and involvement as appropriate with frontline services.RequirementsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in HR/business management/administration or equivalentCIPD qualified or equivalentA minimum of five years relevant experience in an organisation of similar complexity and scaleThe professional skills to lead, develop and manage at senior level, demonstrating excellent leadership, people and change management skillsTechnical expertise in relation to HR, experience of managing a HR function, on a comparable organisational scale to JigsawDemonstrated experience in the use of technology to support the HR functionProven record of accomplishment in delivering on the implementation of strategic and operational plans within budget and to deadlinesPractical experience of current employment legislation and GDPRExcellent organisational development skills and independent, creative thinking and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills and the ability to communicate and work with a range of professionals from broad backgroundsAbility to organise a complex and varied workload and to work to tight deadlinesStrong IT Skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookPassion about young people, their mental health and achieving change in Irish societyA demonstrated understanding of the public and not-for-profit sectorsKnowledge of the health system and ability to build working relationships across the range of key partners.Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
