A mechanical engineer looking to collaborate with a team of innovators and executors who specialize in partnering with the world's top neuro and spine surgeons to develop procedural solutions is needed. This role offers the opportunity to push the boundaries of what is possible by collaborating across the globe with other world-class engineers and our customers to deliver new products that make healthcare better.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and launch innovative new medical devices.
* Collaborate closely with world-leading neuro and spine surgeons to uncover unmet user needs and how to drive improved surgical outcomes.
* Design and implement robust and innovative solutions that help our customers access and see critical anatomical structures in the spine and skull.
* Be the technical lead for a multifunctional project team.
* Liaise with surgeons to define user needs and ensure the product meets and exceeds expectations.
* Mentor and guide more junior team members, modeling high standards of professionalism in all interactions.
Requirements:
* A minimum of a degree in engineering or equivalent design background.
* 4+ years of experience in mechanical, tool design, or mechatronics engineering.
* Experience in mechanism design.
* NPD project delivery.
* Strong delivery focus.
* Understanding of various materials and mechanical processes.
* An infectious enthusiasm for new technologies and their application.
* Travel will be required for the role (International & EU).
