Staff Grade Physiotherapist
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Staff Grade Physiotherapist to join the multidisciplinary team in the Rehabilitation Unit at a Community Hospital. This role involves working with older adults and individuals requiring rehabilitation following neurological, orthopaedic, or complex medical conditions.
You will contribute to delivering a high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy service, helping patients to optimise their function, independence, and quality of life in a supportive and person-centred environment.
Responsibilities of Staff Grade Physiotherapist
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate physiotherapy treatment for patients in the areas of elderly care, general rehab, neuro-rehabilitation, and orthopaedics.
* Deliver individualized treatment plans to enhance mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional ability.
* Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings and contribute to care planning and goal-setting.
* Carry out mobility and falls risk assessments and provide appropriate equipment or onward referrals.
* Educate and support patients, carers, and staff on safe mobility techniques, exercise programs, and discharge planning.
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records in accordance with legal, ethical, and professional standards.
* Participate in clinical supervision, CPD, service audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Support student placements and contribute to the learning environment when appropriate.
Requirements of Staff Grade Physiotherapist
* BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent qualification recognised by CORU).
* Excellent clinical reasoning and patient-handling skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to work as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
* Flexibility and a patient-centred approach to care.
