About the Position PTSB is seeking applications for a key senior leadership role, the Head of IT Strategy and Architecture.
Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer and as a member of our bank Senior Leadership team, the Head of IT Strategy and Architecture is central to envisioning and guiding the future technology posture of the Bank, as you help deliver on our ambition to become Irelands best personal and small business bank.
It is a transformational time for the PTSBs Technology function, as we position our strategy behind the banks promise to bring the best of our people and technology together to create exceptional customer experiences.
The successful candidate has an outstanding opportunity to join the Banks senior leadership team and make significant contribution to the delivery of next generation of customer banking experience across: Digital Banking Services Payments Transformation Cloud Enablement Research of Emerging Disruptive Technologies.
As Head of Strategic Technology Architecture, you will be responsible for operating and maturing an integrated approach to Technology Architectural governance at the bank.
You will be responsible for the establishment of common architectural principles, the definition of the policies and the standards to support the implementation of the Banks Technology Strategy and Target State Technology Architecture.
You will be working within a highly motivated and ambitious community of technology professionals and the wider bank business community.
Key areas of focus will also include building a capability and leading a team who can provide mentorship and support to colleagues across the Bank in the development of optimal technology solutions to strategic business requirements.
You will lead out with respect to how to best leverage or evolve PTSBs Technology Architecture to achieve strategic business goals in an efficient manner.
This will include guidance and sign-offs for solution architectures to the Banks most strategic business domain transformation investments.
Synopsis of Your Key Responsibilities: Functional Strategy & Delivery: Drive the definition and governance of our overall Technology Strategy & Architecture, taking account of the pivotal business initiatives, ongoing modernisation of existing technology estate and with reference to relevant market innovations.
Risk Management & Control:Ensure relevant risks are identified and managed in a proactive manner, and all architectural decisions keep in line with company policies.
Lead an inspiring Culture:Champion a culture of Customer and Colleague Service Excellence Stakeholder Engagement:Work in a collaborative manner, building and managing internal and external relationships to deliver on a challenging set of objectives Leadership:An authentic leader with a growth mindset who can always put the priorities of our customers and colleagues ahead of their own Knowledge, Experience and Track Record:A demonstrable track record of achievement in a similar complex fast-paced role, with significant responsibility at a comparable organization or large-scale regulated customer oriented organisation Qualities: Emotionally intelligent and resilient; self-aware.
Highly collaborative and be able to work objectively toward the overarching goals of the Bank, our customers and our colleagues Impact and Credibility: The gravitas and presence and convey a sense of credibility and confidence Core Skills & Experience: 10+ years managerial experience across multiple IT roles and 5+ years experience leading anTechnology Architecture function, in a large organisation, preferably financial services.
Relevant professional qualification e.g.
BSc or MBA in a technology related field Solid understanding of Change delivery experience (including agile) and of industry standards like COBIT 5 or TOGAF Principles Experience of defining and implementing Strategic Technology Architecture throughout a company, banking / financial services is a distinct advantage .
