Lead Manufacturing Team
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated group of engineers and technicians within the manufacturing group. This role requires strong leadership skills, with a focus on integrating engineers into the overall production support team.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement training and development plans to ensure engineers have the necessary skills to succeed.
* Coach and mentor team members to help them achieve their full potential.
* Set clear engineering goals and objectives that align with the business plan and drive results.
* Identify and implement effective technical solutions to problems, ensuring consistency in quality and performance.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to champion compliance to systems and processes.
* Leverage Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to identify and develop improvements that increase key process metrics such as service, delivery, quality, and cost.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest process technologies and evaluate potential competitive advantages and cost benefits.
* Manage new part introductions and external relationships with key technology providers.
* Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements.
* Pursue short- and long-term cost reduction and process improvement initiatives through the adoption of Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing.
* Oversee validation activities to ensure seamless execution.
Requirements:
* A Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering Degree (Level 8) or equivalent qualification is essential.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
* Post-qualification experience in people management and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment is required.
* Strong data analysis skills and experience applying structured problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies are necessary.
* People Management, Project Management, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma qualifications are highly desirable.
