Job Title: Senior Facility and Utility Engineer
Duration: 12+ Months
Responsibilities
* To manage the execution of projects within the group, ensuring timely completion and adherence to established schedules.
* To carry out and implement equipment and process improvement initiatives, resulting in increased efficiency and productivity.
* To oversee day-to-day preventative and demand maintenance activity for manufacturing and utility equipment, maintaining optimal performance and extending equipment lifespan.
* Establish performance goals, schedules, and timetables for activities with the Site Engineering Services Manager, aligning with overall business objectives.
* Assist in the management and support of manufacturing, utility, and facility project plans, ensuring seamless implementation and integration.
* Coordinate maintenance of manufacturing and facility equipment according to required maintenance schedules, minimizing downtime and maximizing production capacity.
* Prepare capital expenditure requests for the facility, plant, and equipment, providing justification and impact assessments.
* Develop monthly engineering metrics for operations, utilities, and facilities, focusing on operational excellence and cost savings through the Site Maintenance Excellence Program.
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Biomedical, Electronics) or relevant discipline.
* 5+ years of experience in Facility and Utility Engineering, preferably in a cGMP environment.
* Familiarity with Chilled Water, boilers, Potable Water distribution, Compressed Air Generation, LPHW, Building Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, Electricity, Building Safety Systems, and Building regulations is desirable.
* Demonstrated ability to redesign elements of manufacturing/utility/facility machinery to adapt to process conditions, improving efficiency and productivity.
* Proven track record of managing budgets and resources effectively.
* Ability to undertake specific investigations and equipment monitoring to improve manufacturing performance, reducing plant downtime and maximizing Plant output and yield.
Supervision and Responsibilities
* Receive general instructions from management personnel regarding duty performance.
* Responsible for ensuring uninterrupted availability of utility equipment.
* Decision responsibility within the Site Engineering Services Team.
* Manage and supervise external contractors.
* Contacts with all levels of management within the company.
* External contacts with outside contractors/services engineers and commissioning engineers, safety inspectors, etc.
EHS Responsibilities
* Comply with the EHS policy and procedures, demonstrating best practices in all work activities.
* Attend required EHS training and medical surveillance programs.
