Quantity Surveyor Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team as a key member of one of Europe's largest Main Contractors in Dublin. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working on large-scale new build residential home developments and will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.
Main Responsibilities:
* Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure all parties adhere to contractual obligations and resolve any disputes that arise.
* Budget Control: Monitor project expenditures to ensure they align with the approved budget and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
* Financial Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial reports on project status, including forecasts and final accounts.
* Risk Management: Identify potential financial and contractual risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work complies with relevant building regulations and quality standards.
* Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a focus on large-scale new build residential projects. Experience working for a main contractor is essential.
