Role Purpose:
The Supporter Marketing Executive will be responsible for managing direct marketing campaigns across a variety of online and offline channels. The primary objective of the role is to maximise income from individuals in Ireland by engaging, recruiting, and retaining supporters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in direct marketing, individual giving, and fundraising.
Responsibilities:
* Full campaign management and execution in line with prescribed deadlines, including briefing of agencies, sourcing/development of materials, managing data selection criteria, copy development, managing the approvals process, proofing, briefing Donor Care Team, campaign analysis and reporting, managing costs and invoice processing.
* Management of campaign budgets including monitoring of expenditure and targets, and reporting on budgets.
* Management of external suppliers (direct marketing agencies, media buyers, digital agencies, data agencies, telemarketing agencies, and printers).
* Review direct marketing campaigns and ensure that information is used to maximize income for future campaigns.
* Work with other members of the Supporter Marketing Team to develop innovative and successful direct marketing campaigns to contribute to the achievement of fundraising targets and objectives.
* Work with the Supporter Marketing Team to implement and, where necessary, review the Emergency Fundraising Strategy.
* Contribute to the delivery of strategic projects within key performance indicator targets that contribute to the development of the Supporter Marketing annual operational plan.
* Attend conferences, relevant events, and training as opportunities arise.
* Undertake other project work as may be required from time to time.
Role Holder Requirements:
* Degree or equivalent qualification (i.e. marketing qualification).
* At least two years’ experience in a direct marketing environment with experience in managing direct mail/marketing campaigns from start to finish.
* Professional fundraising experience.
* Experience in managing direct mail campaigns.
* Strong planning and project management skills.
* Experience in managing budgets.
* Experience of working with external suppliers to deliver successful direct marketing campaigns.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Results-oriented attitude.
* Excellent written skills including experience of writing and/or commenting on fundraising copy.
* Strong critical approach to fundraising creative.
* Excellent organisational skills and experience of managing a varied workload.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative.
* Excellent problem-solving attitude and communication skills.
* Experience of digital marketing.
Desirable:
* Experience and knowledge of direct marketing development techniques including Cash appeals, Tax, Christmas Gifts, Raffle, Newsletter.
* Knowledge of GDPR regulations.
* Knowledge of and interest in development issues and a commitment to Concern’s work with people in the developing world.
