Job Summary:
The Mechanical Design Engineer will work as part of our Suretank Engineering team to support the design and manufacture of our products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Design tanks, cargo-carrying units, and modular units to meet specific customer requirements.
* Create engineering documentation, including CAD, engineering drawings, BOMs, calculations, technical specifications, and other project deliverables, that meet internal procedures and strict timelines.
* Maintain and control engineering documentation for each contract according to Suretank business and quality manuals. Liaise with customers to ensure accurate documentation and adherence to contract requirements.
* Ensure design outputs comply with relevant design codes and standards, including ASME pressure vessel codes, DNV 2.7-1, CE Marking, EN 1090.
* Pursue continuous improvement activities.
Requirements and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* A minimum of 3 years of relevant postgraduate experience in industry (preferably manufacturing).
* Excellent materials and design skills.
* Experience designing carbon and stainless-steel structures.
* Proficiency in 3D CAD applications, such as SolidWorks, Creo (Pro/E), Inventor, Revit.
* Experience and skills in project management.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience in the design and manufacture of equipment (offshore/modular).
* Familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
* Experience with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems, e.g., SAP.
* Knowledge of designing equipment for the transport of hazardous materials.
* Ability to travel to deployment locations.
