Post Summary: The School seeks to appoint a Professor to research, teach, and supervise in Theology in the Catholic Tradition, with a focus upon historical and contemporary ecclesiology. The appointee will also give leadership in public engagement with the church and with the wider society.
The post is based in the School of Religion, Theology, and Peace Studies at Trinity College Dublin. The successful candidate will engage as a public intellectual and commentator on Catholic affairs, with a proven capability of leadership in research, contributing to raising the national and international profile of the Loyola Institute and the School.
The appointee will contribute to the school’s teaching in Theology at undergraduate, postgraduate, and research levels, including supervision of PhD and MPhil dissertations.
Post status: Permanent
Salary: This appointment will be made on Professor In Salary Scale (€101,433 - €135,607) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
