About the Position
As the Institute's Director, you will be responsible for leading our research strategy, fostering partnerships, securing funding, and promoting a culture of excellence. Your ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a diverse team will be essential in driving the Institute's impact on public policy and society.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement the Institute's research strategy, upholding independence and commitment to excellence;
2. Engage stakeholders and cultivate partnerships to secure funding;
3. Lead the professional development of staff members;
4. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements;
5. Promote a culture of equality, diversity, and inclusion within the Institute.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
1. Academic credibility and a proven track record of high-quality publications and successful research grant applications;
2. Extensive experience in strategic planning and execution;
3. Excellent leadership and management capabilities, inspiring, motivating, and developing a diverse team;
4. Financial acumen to create a sustainable, strategic financial future for the ESRI;
5. A deep understanding of the Irish public policy environment and effective stakeholder engagement;
6. A commitment to principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion;
7. Strong communication and presentation skills, representing the ESRI in public forums.
