Kennedys is seeking a Litigation Assistant to support our Dublin office. This role involves providing legal and administrative support to solicitors handling motor claims, assisting in case management, legal research and liaising with clients, insurers and third parties.
About the Role
The Kennedys liability team provides strategic advice on underwriting, coverage and management of claims through the litigation process with particular expertise in travel, fraud, product liability, catastrophic injury, property subrogation and motor claims.
Key Responsibilities
* Organise client papers and maintain accurate records.
* Accompany fee earners to meetings and provide detailed notes.
* Prepare draft court papers for review by lawyers on the team.
* Liaise with witnesses, counsel and experts, including organising consultations and obtaining necessary documents.
* Obtain medical records and prepare briefs to counsel.
* Review CCTV footage and assist with preparations for trial.
* Attend court and take attendance notes for counsel.
* Diarise all court and other deadlines for the team.
* Complete payment requisitions and ensure timely processing.
Required Experience
* 1-2 years of experience in a defence legal support, paralegal or litigation assistant role, preferably with motor-related claims experience.
* Strong knowledge of Irish litigation procedures.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and client-focused approach.
