The Technical Officer will play a key role in ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of undergraduate teaching programmes, experimental project work and research activities within the Discipline of Mechanical, Manufacturing and Biomedical Engineering.
They will support the implementation and operation of mechanical and manufacturing devices ensuring continuity of research and teaching activities throughout the Discipline as well as providing training and demonstrations to students and researchers.
The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in STEM particularly mechanical engineering and/or electronic engineering.
The candidate will be a strong team player, motivated, can problem solve and have a drive to implement change.
Post status: Permanent Contract Hours of Post: 36.5 hours per week Salary: Appointment will be made on the Technical Officer Pay Scale Salary Scale) at a point in line with Government Pay Policy (€39,845 to €60,345 per annum) The preferred candidate, if an MSc holder on entry, with a minimum of 3 years experience, (that must be relevant), may be appointed at Senior Technical Officer level.
