Job Title: Project Site Manager Location: 50% in Cental and 50% Project Site Duration: 12 Months (Fixed-Term Contract) Reports to: Chief Operating & Technical Officers Direct Reports: EHS Manager, QA Manager, Project Manager, Fabrication Supervisor, Electrical Supervisor Industry: Modular Construction, Data Centres, High-Voltage Systems Job Overview: The Project Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing the safe, timely, and high-quality delivery of a large-scale modular construction project focused on data centres and high-voltage systems. This role will manage cross-functional teams, including Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), Quality Assurance (QA), Project Management, Fabrication, and Electrical disciplines. As a leader, the Project Site Manager will ensure that all project objectives related to safety, quality, schedule, and cost are achieved, while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Individuals with experience in the construction and data centre industries, where quality Safety and compliance standards are of paramount importance, may be particularly well-suited for this role. There is a potential for this position to transition to a permanent role within the company upon the successful completion and delivery of the project, depending on performance and future project needs. Key Responsibilities: Project Lifecycle Management: Lead the project from the design phase through fabrication and construction, culminating in the successful delivery and installation of the modular systems at the clients site. Coordinate the transition between design, build, and final delivery to ensure smooth project execution. Design Collaboration: Collaborate with design engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that project specifications align with client expectations. Review design plans for compliance with safety, quality, and constructability standards. Build Phase Oversight: Manage the on-site execution of the build phase, including modular fabrication, electrical works, and all high-voltage systems. Ensure seamless coordination between the build teams and the design and quality assurance functions. Safety Management: Work closely with the EHS Manager to promote and enforce safety standards across all aspects of the project. Implement risk assessments and ensure adherence to HSE protocols and industry regulations. Quality Assurance: Partner with the QA Manager to establish and maintain quality control processes. Ensure that all fabrication and electrical work meets the highest standards of quality and complies with relevant codes and specifications. Project Delivery: Manage the project timeline and ensure all deadlines for design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning are met. Coordinate resource allocation and resolve project bottlenecks to deliver on time and within budget. Team Leadership: Directly oversee the EHS, QA, and PM teams, along with the Fabrication and Electrical Supervisors. Ensure strong communication and collaboration across departments to achieve project goals. Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary site contact for external stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and subcontractors. Provide regular updates to senior management and the client on project progress, risks, and mitigations. Contractor Coordination: Oversee subcontractor activities to ensure alignment with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor contractor performance. Budget and Resource Management: Monitor and manage project budgets in collaboration with the Project Manager. Ensure resource efficiency in terms of labor, materials, and time. Risk Mitigation: Identify and assess potential project risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity and successful completion. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with local, national, and industry regulations for construction, safety, and quality. Key Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Project Management qualification preferred. Experience: Proven experience managing large-scale modular construction projects, particularly in data centers or high-voltage environments. Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in a high-pressure environment with a focus on safety, quality, and delivery. Leadership: Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams. Experience managing direct reports and working closely with clients and stakeholders. Technical Skills: Knowledge of high-voltage systems, data center construction and modular fabrication. Familiarity with construction management software and tools. Safety and Quality Focus: Demonstrated ability to implement and manage safety and quality control processes in a large-scale construction environment. Familiarity with relevant standards and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 45001). Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach. Ability to assess project challenges and swiftly develop effective solutions.
