Our client is currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join their team based in Clane Co. Kildare.
Job Description:
Working alongside the MD, advising on company strategy and responsible for all financial and other aspects of the business.
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Develop financial and taxation strategies.
* Manage the capital request and budgeting processes.
* Supervise due diligence procedures for suppliers and clients.
* Implement internal controls, KPIs, policies, and procedures that support strategic direction across the business.
* Responsible for the preparation of Monthly Management and Annual Financial Statements ensuring that current accounting standards are adhered to.
* Monitor financial performance and KPIs of the businesses and report to the Senior Management Teams on a monthly basis.
* Drive process improvement and efficiency and continuously improve financial controls.
* Prepare Annual Budgets.
* Ensure accurate cash flow forecasting and good cash management.
* Identify risks and opportunities that may affect the financial performance of the company.
* Update and implement financial policies and procedures.
* Manage any third parties to which accounting functions have been outsourced.
* Create and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, including banking institutions, accountants, and tax authorities.
Qualifications:
* Accounting Technician qualification ideally but not essential.
* Previous experience in Accounts.
* Strong IT skills with proficiency in MS Excel.
* Ability to multi-task and to work to deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills with fully fluent written and spoken English essential.
* Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative and to manage workload.
* Proactive problem-solving ability.
* Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
