Job Details: Job Description: At Intel, a Dedicated Emergency Responder (DERT) is responsible for ensuring rapid and effective response to on-site emergencies (Hazmat and medical). Dedicated responders must have a strong understanding of the Incident Management System (IMS) structure used to coordinate field-level incident-management operations. Responders will be required to provide technical support to the Emergency Response Team (ERT) leader during large-scale events. The role requires proactive engagement in emergency preparedness, training, and safety improvement initiatives to support site emergency response readiness. The dedicated emergency response position (DERT) is responsible for : Responding to onsite hazardous materials incidents including chemical spills Performing containment ,control and clean-up operations. Provision of initial first aid treatment to any medical emergencies on site. Maintaining readiness of all hazmat equipment, first aid equipment and PPE. Provision of training to volunteer emergency response team members and the delivery of regular drills to maintain member competence. Maintaining detailed and accurate records and reports related to response activities Developing and update DERT Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required. Note: Responders must pass a medical fitness assessment to ensure suitability on an annual basis. Qualifications: A Level 6 or Level 7 degree in a Science or Engineering discipline 3+ years' experience in Emergency Response role in a large scale high tech manufacturing facility Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deliver training and share knowledge. Excellent documentation skills Full Driver License required CFR / First aid responder (FAR) training Proficiency in emergency response protocols, equipment usage, and hazard assessment is advantageous.
