Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
2. Management Accounts: Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, providing insight into business performance.
3. Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
4. Cost Accounting: Assist in cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, contributing to effective financial decision-making.
5. Audit Preparation: Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and liaise with auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
6. Process Improvement: Identify and propose improvements to accounting processes and controls, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
7. Ad-hoc Support: Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by the finance team and senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent, with a strong desire to continue professional development.
* Previous experience in accounting or finance, ideally within a similar role.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
