Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Part Qualified Accountant to join their growing finance team. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of financial tasks, supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term financial planning to ensure the smooth financial management of the business. Key Responsibilities: As a Part Qualified Accountant, you will: Financial Reporting: Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. Management Accounts: Support the finance team in the preparation and analysis of management accounts, highlighting key variances and insights. Reconciliation: Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. VAT Returns: Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring timely and accurate filings. Year-End Accounts: Support the preparation of year-end accounts and consult with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process. Cost Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to aid decision-making, including cost control and budgeting support. Cash Flow Management: Monitor and report on cash flow, assisting with forecasting and liquidity planning. Ad-Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects, system improvements, or process enhancements as required by the finance team. Key Requirements: Part Qualified Accountant: Currently studying for a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) with some practical accounting experience. Experience: Ideally 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, with exposure to management accounts, reconciliations, VAT returns, and financial reporting. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices; proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero). Analytical Skills: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
