ABOUT THE JOB:
The role of Driver & Appliance Installer in Harvey Norman involves delivering & installing products in our customer’s home, interacting with our customers, and providing amazing customer service experiences which help make Harvey Norman a great place to shop. This is a “white glove” in-home delivery/installation operation.
YOUR JOB – your tasks will include:
* Delivery of appliances direct from our warehouse or store to customers’ homes.
* Installation of appliances.
* Removal of old appliances.
* POD Management/EPODING (Contactless delivery).
* Communicating with customers and office team daily.
* Ensuring vehicle safety checks are completed daily and reporting any vehicle issues.
* Be an ambassador for the Harvey Norman brand and installation/delivery service.
* Adherence to the company’s Policies and Procedures at all times.
* Perform other related duties as required.
* Adhering to all COVID-19 guidelines at all times.
YOUR PROFILE – your knowledge, skills, and experience include:
Experience and Qualifications:
* Experience with handling washing machines, fridge freezers, TVs, etc.
* Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
* Experience with electrical, plumbing, or carpentry.
* Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems.
* Good communication ability.
* Experience as a handyman or maintenance worker.
* Knowledge of the greater Dublin area would be an advantage.
* Well-organized and adept at problem-solving.
* Flexible and willing to go the “extra mile” to ensure customers’ expectations are exceeded.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Excellent telephone skills.
* Customer Orientated: Be respectful to customers as the highest priority of the business.
* Effective Communicator / Good Listener: Effective written & verbal communication skills.
* Numerical & Logical Ability: Have the ability to work with numbers in a competent and confident way.

Additional Information:
* This is a fixed term contract with potential for permanency.
* We need employees to be flexible about when they work, covering store opening hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
* The successful candidate will be required to attend a company induction day in Dublin City Centre.
