Job Summary
A Mechanical Maintenance Technician/Fitter is required to join our team in Portlaoise. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of mechanical maintenance, a strong commitment to environmental responsibility, and adherence to safety protocols.
About the Role
This exciting opportunity provides autonomy over work and plays a pivotal role in the sustainability success of our business. The purpose of this role is to ensure the safe, smooth, and proper running of machinery, plant, and equipment while diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in an industrial environment.
We are expanding rapidly in Waste Management, Resource Recovery, and Circular Economy, recycling materials such as metals, plastics, oil, hazardous waste, and identifying ways to create clean energy and fully recycled products.
Main Responsibilities
1. Perform daily reactive and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
2. Ensure the safe, smooth, and proper running of machinery, plant, and equipment.
3. Follow, manage, and enhance the existing maintenance program, including routine maintenance, breakdown maintenance, upkeep, and machine installs.
Requirements
* Proven Mechanical Maintenance or Fitting experience (3-5 years ideally).
* Trade certification or relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
* Experience with equipment such as pumping equipment, oil burners, and hydraulic & pneumatic equipment.
* Full Driver's License.
