This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and driven candidate who is keen to progress within Ireland’s fastest growing professional services firm. The position offers excellent prospects for progression and on-going career development. This role will involve providing VAT support to Directors and Partners on tax advisory and liaising with Irish and international clients and advising on all relevant VAT issues. To be considered for this role you will have a relevant tax, legal or accountancy qualification and a minimum of five years in a professional tax, legal or accountancy environment working within VAT.
We are looking to recruit a Receptionist at Grant Thornton to join our team in our Cork office. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and professional receptionist wishing to join a busy team in a professional environment. The main purpose of this role is to ensure provision of an efficient and courteous reception service to all clients, visitors and staff.
This role is an initial 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.
Duties include but are not limited to:
* Managing day to day presentation of reception and general office areas
* Meeting and greeting clients in a courteous, professional and friendly manner
* Managing meeting rooms / desk bookings
* Arranging catering requirements for meetings / office events
* Providing a professional and personable service to all clients
* Reserving meeting rooms and requesting catering arrangements
* Operating the switchboard and directing calls in a positive and professional manner
* Managing and ordering stationery and other essential office stock
* On-site H&S responsibilities
* Booking in maintenance appointments and managing maintenance schedule
* Using various software systems to report any maintenance issues
* Ensuring site procedures are documented and kept up to date
* Supervising contractors when on site ensuring work completed to a high standard
* Working with head office to implement initiatives within office relating to group wide programs
* Adhoc facilities and reception administrative tasks
* Any other reasonable request
Skills Required:
* Previous reception experience is essential
* Ability to confidently communicate with clients at all levels
* Computer literate, ICDL or equivalent
* Client service orientation/customer care skills
* Excellent communicator and team player
* Self-motivated and keen eye for detail
* Excellent organisational skills
* Ability to adapt to a fast paced, hands-on environment
