GIY is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager (or what we at GIY like to call a Head of Marketing). Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will have responsibility for marketing, e-commerce, and digital growth across the business. The successful candidate will be digitally savvy, with a proven track record in driving multi-channel marketing programmes and comfortable in leading people and agencies to deliver and monitor best-in-class brand and performance marketing campaigns.
Marketing
* Leading the development of all multi-channel B2C and B2B marketing and PR plans, ensuring their effective implementation.
* Focusing on growing audiences and uptake for products, services, campaigns and programmes in line with strategic objectives and commercial KPIs.
* Developing and strengthening the brand in consultation with senior managers, executives, and partners.
* Monitoring, reviewing and reporting on all marketing activities, results, and ROI.
* Conducting strategic marketing analysis that will help guide marketing plans and messaging.
* Overseeing multi-channel social media planning and execution, including content creation aligned with overall strategic objectives and partnerships.
* Working to continuously ensure the company marketing goals are communicated across the entire organisation and improving the company’s marketing outreach efforts.
* Conception, development and implementation of marketing plans and strategies, product concepts and promotional programmes to drive interest and sales.
* Efficiently developing, managing and reporting on annual marketing budgets.
* Routinely sharing strategies, progress, results, learnings, and relevant industry trends, with the broader team.
* Brief press and PR teams to maximise all PR opportunities and increase brand awareness.
E-commerce
* Own the e-commerce sales target, developing and delivering the digital marketing strategy to achieve growth in Ireland, the UK, and other markets in future, including PPC, SEO, Display, affiliate and e-mail marketing.
* Analyse trends in customer behaviour and broader market insights, creating strategic plans to convert more customers and subscribers.
* Map the customer journey and improve online customer experience through on-site merchandising, promotional activities, website development and other interventions.
* Manage and develop the technology platforms integral to the e-Commerce function, including Shopify, related applications, Klaviyo, Meta Business Suite and Google Ads.
* Monitor the stock availability on the web, working with the Operations Team to ensure product range is optimal to achieve sales targets.
* Monitor and analyse the performance of the website, including (but not limited to) revenue, AOV, conversion rate, marketing channel performance and monthly growth KPIs.
* Manage and continuously improve the quality of the e-Commerce customer experience.
* Brief press and PR teams to maximise all PR opportunities and grow social media footprint.
Campaigns/Partnership
* Create, deliver and report on marketing and communications plans for partner campaigns (e.g. Get Ireland Growing) in line with objectives and commercial KPIs.
* Brief press and PR teams to maximise all PR opportunities.
* Maintain brand alignment and consistency in all digital and social media marketing initiatives and communications.
Team
* Report to the Director of Communications.
* Collaborating on the development of the team and department.
* Manage and coach direct reports to perform to the highest standards.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for a results-driven, creative marketing professional with strong commercial skills and a growth-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate will believe in GIY’s vision, share GIY’s values and have the following qualifications and experience:
* 3-5 years’ experience, with international markets is beneficial.
* Experience working across a broad portfolio of activities including marketing, business development, events, communications, and PR.
* Experience with eCommerce software and platforms, with a strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, website metrics, data analysis, and reporting tools (experience in Shopify is essential).
* Proven track record in producing creative and strategic marketing plans, while keeping an eye on the bottom line and aligning with the needs of the business units.
* Strong customer focus with proven ability to analyse and improve customers’ experiences.
* A positive, resourceful, self-motivated person who has the maturity and confidence to succeed in a busy environment and as part of a dynamic team.
