We are currently recruiting experienced ASIC Design Engineers to work for an industry-leading multinational semiconductor company at one of their leading European offices in Ireland.
This position is working within their GPU team.
This is a permanent working opportunity based in Cork, Ireland.
Key responsibilities for this ASIC Design Engineer position: Micro-architect and design RTL for GPU architecture blocks and modules including shader processing, graphics pipelines, memory subsystems, interconnects, power, and system-level design.
Optimize hardware design for enhanced performance, power efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Evaluate hardware feasibilities for complex algorithms and requirements.
Develop micro-architecture and specifications for new designs.
Implement RTL based on the developed micro-architecture.
Conduct verification and debugging throughout the project lifecycle.
Optimize silicon cost and improve clock speed.
Troubleshoot silicon issues related to the design.
Key requirements:
Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog design, Synopsys synthesis, low power design, test plan development, and coverage-based design verification.
Knowledge of Computer Architecture, Computer Arithmetic, low power design, and programming languages such as C/C++/Python.
Experience in designing RTL for GPU, CPU, DSP, Machine-Learning, cache, controller, video, display, and camera blocks in ASIC is preferred.
Exposure to Graphics APIs (OpenGL, Vulkan, Direct3D) is a plus.
