Lead the IT department, providing exceptional service to the organisation aligned with business needs and industry best practices.
Successfully manage a team of 10+ skilled IT professionals, including various team leads. Make strategic decisions on day-to-day and long-term business objectives and report to senior management.
Liaise with other departments to assess their IT needs and devise solutions that meet those needs.
Plan the implementation of new solutions and provide guidance to the IT team and managed service partners.
Ensure the integration and smooth running of our Website ERP WMS systems, processing customer policies and claims orders efficiently.
Manage all elements of ICT service delivery, ensuring a fully functional, reliable, and secure ICT environment.
Maintain appropriate levels of governance for IT Management in delivering services and projects.
Implement regulatory and security standards for technology practices.
Develop and implement IT strategy in support of the company's mission and strategic objectives.
Oversee IT Vendor Management and procurement, negotiating service level agreements and managing vendors.
Prepare and implement policies, procedures, and standards for IT systems, services, and frameworks.
Responsibility includes IT Security & Disaster Recovery.
Manage the IT Budget, prioritising spend according to company objectives.
Lead project management (Infrastructure rollout/consolidation/upgrade projects) and participate in process improvement initiatives across the business.
Stay up-to-date on new technologies that may benefit the organisation.
Requirements:
* Proven IT Management experience, including 10+ years of IT experience, with strong people management skills and proactive service provision.
* Familiarity with the Insurance industry or Financial Services sector is an advantage.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, enhance, support, and develop an IT team of 10+ staff.
* Strong stakeholder and communication management skills and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Experience extracting value from ERP systems in Insurance environments, especially using reporting tools to support decision-making.
* Project Management skills and experience in using structured project management frameworks with successful project delivery.
* Good business process knowledge and proven experience in using technology to improve efficiency.
* Strong vendor management and relationship management skills.
* Strong understanding of INFOSEC requirements with an emphasis on cyber security.
* Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communications skills.
* Proven experience in leading digital transformation initiatives and managing complex IT projects.

* Experience in maintaining and testing an organisation's disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
* Aware of Data Protection legislation and its impact on ICT.
* IT qualification and experience: Bachelor or Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
* A minimum of 10+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 7 years in a leadership role preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
Estimated Salary Range: £120,000 - £180,000 per annum
