Job Description
We are inviting applications for the full-time and permanent position of Member Services Officer.
* This role requires working across our branches in line with the needs of the business.
* The successful applicant will be required to work 37 hours per week, from Tuesday to Saturday.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing an excellent standard of member service within the front office environment to members and performs a range of supporting tasks.
The Member Services Officer is accountable for carrying out a range of administrative and operational activities within authorised limits that contribute to the effective running of the credit union.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide a quality service to members at the counter, processing lodgements, withdrawals, loan draw down and repayments.
* Accurately and efficiently manage cash transactions, including daily reconciliation of cash balances.
* Process direct debits, standing orders, efts and amend mandates.
* Develop an excellence in dealing with and resolving member queries to the highest levels of service across diverse areas from advising on credit union products to the various methods members can access these services.
* Ensure compliance with existing and new systems and controls, as well as policies and procedures necessary, as outlined by the Risk, Compliance, MLRO & DPO, the Internal Audit Function and Operations Mgr.
Requirements:
* Proven track record in customer service, with a strong ability and commitment to enhancing the member experience at every opportunity.
* Excellent IT and administration skills with a strong compliance ethos for a right first time approach to work.
* Experience working in a frontline role within a credit union or financial institution would be a distinct advantage.
* Be educated to leaving certificate level and ideally hold a relevant or credit union qualification such as CUA, APA or QFA.
* Be willing to undertake training to achieve the required minimum competence code qualification and maintain CPD, as per Central Bank requirements.
* Team player with strong communication and organisational skills.
* Full clean driving licence.
* An appreciation and an awareness of the credit union ethos.
