Educational/Clinical Psychologist (Contracted Position)

Role Overview:
As a Clinical/Educational Psychologist, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic assessments for clients referred by the HSE and private clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide a full range of diagnostic assessments (ADOS, ADI-R, Psychological/Cognitive, School or home observations).
2. Compile information gathered from various sources to arrive at a differential diagnosis.
3. Offer full-scale reports to relevant professionals and clients as well as liaising with schools and other required agencies.
4. Offer feedback to families following the assessment to further explain the diagnosis.
5. Complete onward referrals as necessary.
6. Take part in the quality assurance of reports by having an active role in the presentation of results and feedback process with families.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Postgraduate degree in Educational or Clinical Psychology as recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland.
2. If qualified outside of the Republic of Ireland, qualifications must be validated by the Department of Health.
3. Minimum of 1 year post-graduate qualification experience.
4. Relevant experience in administering diagnostic assessments in the area of Autism.
5. Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-2 Training.
6. Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised Training.
