.NET Application Support Specialist Job Description: My client, a leading organisation, is seeking aSenior .NET Application Support Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis.
This role requires strong.NET development skills, includingC#, SQL Server, Web Services, and API development.
The successful candidate will provide high-level application support while also contributing to development and enhancement projects.
The role is based inDublin with hybrid work options.
Job Responsibilities: Providetechnical support and maintenance for enterprise .NET applications.
Troubleshoot and resolvecomplex application issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Collaborate withdevelopers, business analysts, and stakeholders to enhance system functionality.
Performbug fixes, minor enhancements, and performance tuning on existing applications.
Work onintegration of web services and APIs to support business needs.
MonitorSQL Server databases, optimise queries, and assist with database-related issues.
Document solutions, technical specifications, and troubleshooting procedures.
Supportrelease management, deployment activities, and version control.
Experience Required: 5+ years of experience in a .NET application support or development role.
Strong experience withC#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
Expertise inSQL Server (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, etc.).
Experience withWeb Services (SOAP/REST) and API development/integration.
Proficiency introubleshooting application issues in a production environment.
Experience withIIS, Windows Server, and Azure DevOps is beneficial.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills: Experience withcloud technologies (Azure or AWS) is an advantage.
Knowledge ofDevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment.
Exposure tofrontend technologies (Angular, React, or is a plus.
Experience in working withagile methodologies.
Educational Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications inMicrosoft .NET technologies orAzure are a plus.
