Senior Project Engineer
A 12-month contract opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Engineer to work with a client based in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee equipment qualification, enhance maintenance procedures, and collaborate with various teams to drive process improvements and resolve equipment-related challenges.
* Manage and guide technical projects from initial concept through to design, construction, commissioning, and operational stages.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project scope and ensure all objectives are achieved.
* Support the introduction of new products and processes, offering troubleshooting and direct support on the production floor.
* Develop and optimize maintenance strategies, manage spare parts inventory, and handle change controls.
* Contribute to Root Cause Analysis and work on Cross-Functional Investigations.
* Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including specifications, protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Coordinate with teams across maintenance, project engineering, and suppliers for equipment upgrades and modifications.
* Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company standards.
* Promote a safe work environment and comply with all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or equivalent practical experience.
* Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, ideally within the biotechnology or aseptic pharmaceutical sectors.
* Strong project management skills, with a solid background in high-volume manufacturing environments.
* Experience in technology transfer, change control, and working within GDP-compliant settings is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and document management systems.
* Capable of making data-driven decisions and managing tasks under pressure in fast-paced environments.
