As an Investment Associate, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities while supporting portfolio management initiatives.
You will collaborate closely with senior team members and contribute to the overall strategy, providing insights and analysis to drive informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Deal Sourcing & Evaluation: Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities across target sectors.
Conduct market research and industry analysis to assess market trends and potential targets.
Build and maintain a network of industry contacts to support deal origination.
Financial Modelling & Due Diligence:
Develop detailed financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, including valuation, sensitivity analysis, and scenario modelling.
Perform comprehensive due diligence, including financial, operational, and legal assessments.
Prepare investment committee presentations with clear and concise insights.
Transaction Execution:
Support deal structuring and negotiations, including coordination with legal, tax, and other advisors.
Manage workstreams related to transaction execution, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
Portfolio Management:
Monitor the performance of portfolio companies and provide strategic support to enhance value creation.
Work closely with management teams to implement growth strategies and operational improvements.
Prepare portfolio performance reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in finance, economics, business, or a related discipline; MBA or CFA qualification is advantageous.
2-4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, deal advisory, transaction services or a related field.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in financial modelling and valuation techniques.
Demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present compelling analyses.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
High level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
