Maintenance Manager Grade VIII Job Description
The Maintenance Manager Grade VIII is responsible for maintaining all elements of the built environment, including roads, pathways, grounds, buildings, plant and equipment. This role involves managing a quality-based, cost-effective, efficient service, reviewing existing contracts, and implementing maintenance service contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain all elements of the built environment in accordance with statutory regulations, healthcare standards, manufacturers' recommendations, industry norms, and best practice.
* Manage the department on the basis of delivering a quality-based, cost-effective, efficient service.
* Review existing contracts and implement maintenance service contracts as required.
* Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance programmes for the entire facility.
* Develop asset registers for managed assets and ensure an efficient and compliant system of operation and maintenance.
* Cooperate with the HSE IT development programme and support the implementation of systems in the facility.
Requirements:
* A first-class technological certificate (Intermediate Stage) or a technological certificate (Advanced Stage) or a full course certificate in building issued by the Dept of Education.
* Or a recognised professional technical diploma (Level 7) in Engineering/Surveying/Facilities Management/Architect etc.
* Or be a fellow or professional associate (Building Services Division) of the Royal institute of Chartered Surveyors.
* Seven years post-qualification experience in architecture/mechanical/electrical engineering/facilities management or building surveying works.
* Experience in managing significant operational budgets in a complex work environment.
* Experience in managing a multi-disciplinary trades and technical team of internal staff and external contractors.
Salary:
€79,847 per annum.
Location:
Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.
Working Hours:
35 hours per week.
