Network Engineer (Contractor) (Full Time)

Description
Our clients are predominantly business owners who are focused on ensuring their day-to-day operations perform as they should. I.T, networks, systems, and cybersecurity are generally not something they have time to consider, and that is where we step in. We manage all of the I.T. requirements so that people don't have to worry about whether their data and systems are protected.
This contractor opportunity will be based full time on site with one of our customers based in Dublin City Centre.
Responsibilities:
* Support the clients Local Area Networks (inc. switching and routing environments).
* Support the clients Wide Area Network, Wireless Technologies, and Communications System.
* Management of network monitoring applications and tools.
* Respond to Level 2 and Priority helpdesk tickets as required.
* Management of computer rooms and data centre facilities.
Requirements:
* Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience in setting up and supporting Wide and Local Area Networks.
* Must have knowledge of OSPF and BGP.
* Familiarity with all main switching/routing protocols and standards inc. Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP etc.
* Knowledge of Fortinet (or other) SD WAN technologies and how to administer.
* Experience in dealing with multiple 3rd party WAN providers, proven ability to work on their own in an outage situation.
* Familiarity with all main routing protocols and standards inc. Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, & DHCP.
* Knowledge on how to administer Aruba Clearpass, Aruba Airwave and also knowledge on how to troubleshoot Aruba Wireless Controllers.
* Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience of managing network monitoring applications and tools such as Wireshark, Omnivista or similar.
* Comms room experience and environmental controls.
* Proven ability/record of providing effective and professional service to users of all levels in a busy helpdesk environment.
