This role supports the QA function with the Management of Food Safety systems for the site. The QA function is responsible for the development and administration of programs and policies that result in company-wide compliance with regulatory agency requirements. The main responsibility of the QA Role initially is the expansion, implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management systems to new areas of site. Other duties include supporting the documentation internal auditing, CAPA systems for the business. Ability to work in cross-functional teams is critical, within a high-volume production environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Food Safety Management Systems in the production areas through GMP audits, CCP verifications and Food Safety walks.
* Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies, processes and FSSC 22000 standards.
* Expand and implement current Quality Management Systems into new areas of site.
* Work closely with other departments to ensure integrated quality management.
* Collaborate and provide guidance and support to help operations team and other departments to understand and implement quality standards.
* Assist with development and delivery of the Food Safety training program for existing and new employees.
* Assist with internal and facility 3rd party audit requirements.
* Act as administrator for the Document Management system, to manage the full suite of company documentation.
* Training of colleagues on the requirements around documentation.
* Keep up to date with the regulatory requirements around documentation and implementing changes as necessary.
* Cross-functional teamwork to meet project targets.
* Drive, monitor and review corrective actions, supporting the corrective and preventative action processes.
* Must have regular, punctual attendance.
* Other duties as assigned.
