A multinational company based in Dublin 1 (2 days office) is looking to hire a Financial Accountant for a 12 month maternity contract. This will be a varied Accounting role and someone with previous Financial Services experience is preferred. Salary in the €75,000 - €80,000 range DOE plus excellent benefits.
Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant
* Budgeting and forecasting – assisting in budget and forecast preparation
* Revenue – oversight and preparation of fee calculations, invoicing and collection process.
* Month end processing - accruals, prepayments and control account reconciliation.
* Management reporting – preparation of monthly reports and board reports, group reporting.
* Regulatory reporting external – preparation of Monthly and quarterly regulatory reports.
* Tax compliance – local and international corporation tax, VAT returns and other tax matters
* Statutory reporting – preparation of financial statements. Engage with external auditors throughout audit process.
* Participate in ad-hoc business projects
* Backup to the Financial Controller
Key requirements of the Financial Accountant
* Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in financial services or in a similar fast changing industry
* Ability to work to tight deadlines, produce accurate and timely information
* Good team player and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to multi-task and be flexible and can work on own initiative.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
