Hospital Equipment Sales Specialist – West of Ireland & Border Counties – Field Based
My business, one of the world's leading medical technology companies, seeks to hire a new Hospital Equipment Sales Specialist for both the West of Ireland & Border Counties. As part of a wider team of both commercial and clinical specialists, you will be responsible for developing new business relationships within public, private, and voluntary hospital settings, promoting both the core product portfolio my business is known for and other product streams. Your main engagement will be at clinician level, rather than consultant level. This is a field-based role, with a large national territory. You must be comfortable working on the road, maintaining your own diary, and flexible as required to deliver to your business’s needs. This is a permanent role, with an attractive base salary, commission bonus, benefits, and a company car/allowance as preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Understand customer goals & drivers to build strong and mutually beneficial relationships, positioning the business as the partner of choice.
2. Proactively develop and implement territory plans for sustainable, long-term sales success.
3. Review and alter this plan in line with strategy & direction.
4. Follow account management plan by area growth, to focus on top 5 accounts.
5. Effectively manage account priorities to position, sell & implement Added Value Services, where this offering will maximize sales opportunity.
6. Effectively deliver the Value Add Programmes (training & education).
7. Effectively adopt the Way of Selling methodology.
8. Conduct and manage product evaluations & in-service process as part of account conversion, with support from the Clinical Team where appropriate.
9. Work effectively with the Regional Business Manager, Country Business Leader, Clinical Consultant/Specialists, & Marketing team to maximize business potential.
10. Achieve standards, expectations, and performance as agreed with manager.
11. Communicate market and competitor information.
12. Contribute to compelling business case development with the Business Development Manager and the Market Access Team.
13. Effectively and consistently use the CRM system.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent.
2. Extensive sales experience with demonstrable record of success ideally in the Hospital/HSE/healthcare sales (General surgical / Vascular Access) environment.
3. Understanding of sales data – skills to interpret sales trends, handle collection, collation and use of data to assist in account and territory analysis/planning.
4. Able to demonstrate a good level of educational achievement.
5. Highly motivated, action-oriented, initiative taker with excellent organizational skills.
6. Ability to work both individually and as part of a team is essential.
